Physiotherapist
New Care Services is a relatively new Home Care Aged Care, NDIS and DVA Provider having been in operation for the past 4 years. While we operate in Shepparton, Bendigo, Perth (WA) and Ballina (Northern NSW) we require a qualified Physiotherapist/s to support our Melbourne operations. In Melbourne we operate predominately in the Northern and Western suburbs and the majority of our clients are from an Italian background. However if you are in any of the areas that we operate in please do not hesitate to contact us as will also have opportunities in these areas as well.
We are a rapidly growing organisation and are looking for Physios to join our team. While we have advertised this position as part time, however, we are also willing to look at both casual and for the role to grow to a full time position over time and as demand increases. Hours are flexible. The majority of the work will be in home services so the successful applicant will be based in their home, you will be supported by a team of 7/8 Case Managers, and a supportive Executive team who are keen for the right person to grow and develop with this role. Equipment to undertake the work will be supplied.
Remuneration range - $70-$90 per hour
The duties will include the:
- Provision of very high quality Physiotherapy services to individuals and their support networks provided within the agreed timelines for service under Aged Care (Home Care Package) model or NDIS mostly in the client's homes;
- Assessment (initial and ongoing as required) treatment, individual and/or group-based programs, education and support services.
- Provide relevant assessment and progress reports of the clients to the relevant funding partners in a timely manner. A laptop and access to our CRM will be supplied
- In collaboration with the In Home Support Team, New Care Services Physiotherapists identify, organise, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based services.
- Work closely with Case Managers etc to identify and appropriately manage participant need.
- Work with internal key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of processes and protocols for Community Aged Care services/NDIS/DVA that clinical service delivery records and funding applications meet all requirements for funding requirement e.g. HCP and NDIS etc
- Participation in continuous improvement and planning processes.
- Active participation in in regular interdisciplinary team meetings, service planning and reviews, Community Aged Care or NDIS working groups
- Completion of timely and accurate collection of appropriate data to meet relevant billing and reporting requirements and to ensure compliance with privacy legislation.
- Ensure that care services are accessible, culturally relevant and inclusive.

Requirements
All employees must provide New Care Services with the following:
- A current Police Record Check
- A Working with Children Check,
- Other credentials and role specific requirements (such as NDIS) and checks will be required in accordance with government funding requirements and legislation. This will include an NDIS workers screening check
- Proof of there Right to Work in Australia
- must be permanent residents of Australia or hold a current, valid visa.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
In addition the right person
- will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months applies unless otherwise stipulated.

- Ability to work with a high level of independence and autonomy and accountability
- Ability to develop and maintain effective and empathic client centred therapeutic relationships with clients, families, carers and professional groups
- should have an understanding of new National Aged Care Quality and Safety Standard,
- Experience in preparing and participating in the periodic quality standards audit
- High developed interpersonal skills with sound communication and literacy skills.
